P.O.M. 1 Trillion Exosomes

Categories: ,

Description

In scientific terms, the secretome represents the totality of all substances secreted by stem cells into the external environment. This includes microvesicles, exosomes, proteins, cytokines (cell messengers), hormone-like substances, etc. immuno-modulating substances

Based on modern science, it is believed that the effect of stem cells in the clinical trials conducted so far is not only due to the cells themselves, but also to the vesicles, protein molecules and other substances such as cytokines that are released from the cells. These substances released into the external environment are called "secretome" as a general term, since the process of release is called secretion. Which secretome substances produce the actual effects still largely remains unknown. Our exosomes are derived from donor Muse MSC- mesenchymal stem cells.

Exosomes, with an average diameter of 50-100 nanometers, are a subset of EVs. The biogenesis of exosomes involves their origin in endosomes and subsequent interactions with other intracellular vesicles and organelles generate the final contents of exosomes. Their diverse constituents include nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, amino acids, and metabolites that may reflect their cellular origin. In various diseases, exosomes offer a window into altered cellular or tissue states.

Exosomes derived from MSCs (Mesenchymal Stem Cells) have shown favorable results similar to those of cell therapy in terms of regenerative and neovascular actions as well as their anti-apoptotic, anti-remodeling and anti-inflammatory effects. Compared to their parent cells, exosomes have also demonstrated several advantages, including lower immunogenicity and lack of risk of tumor formation. Recently, new approaches have been developed to improve their efficiency and stability, including their preconditioning before transplantation, the use of extracted MSC-derived exosomes, or their use as a targeted drug delivery system.
